Good to know

Masseria Sylvestre is a newly built modern home set on five private acres between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. Informed by Passive-led architecture and design, Sylvestre was created with both sustainability and serenity in mind. The airtight, energy-efficient build creates an environment that’s quiet, thermally balanced, and deeply calming, a cocoon-like space that shaped every design choice. Natural materials like stone and untreated wood give the home a grounding, organic feel. Highlights - Built utilizing Passive House principles - 3 bedrooms / 2.5 bathrooms - Spacious open-plan living with sliding doors to the outdoors - Fully equipped kitchen and indoor dining area - Private bedrooms designed as calming sanctuaries - Cowboy pool for refreshing dips (can be heated like a hot tub) - Large outdoor dining table for meals and gatherings - Outdoor soaking tub and shower for open-air self-care rituals - Built-in BBQ and multiple seating areas to relax and gather - Wide-open desert and mountain views Great location: Set on 5 acres between Joshua Tree & Palm Springs 12 minutes ➔ Desert Hot Springs 18 minutes ➔ Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown 24 minutes ➔ Downtown Palm Springs 24 minutes ➔ Joshua Tree Village 45 minutes ➔ Coachella (a great location for festivals!) The modern kitchen is fully equipped and flows into the dining area, making it easy to cook and gather. Each bedroom was designed as a private sanctuary with soft linens, calming tones, and thoughtful details. Bathrooms continue the spa-like feel, with elegant finishes and space to slow down. Outdoor Living: Sylvestre’s outdoor spaces immerse you in the desert landscape. Cool off in the cowboy pool, linger at the large outdoor dining table, or watch the colors change from dawn to dusk. For deeper restoration, an outdoor soaking tub and shower invite you to bathe beneath the open desert sky. The Setting: With panoramic views of mountains and open desert, the property feels private yet accessible—a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs, and local desert gems. Whether you’re here to explore, gather, or simply recharge, Sylvestre offers a grounding and unforgettable desert escape. What an incredible place Jenn has curated. I came here to clear my head and this was the perfect place to do it. The lighting, how clean everything was, the kitchen with every appliance you would need plus multiple different coffee makers to cater to your taste. The earthy tones and materials in the house made it feel very grounding. What really sold me is the grounds it lays on and the outside environment, especially the tub. 100% worth the stay to be able to take a hot bath in the middle of the desert while looking up at the moon. it was a beautiful stay and I will definitely be back. Come alone or with loved ones you won’t regret it at all.

I came with another mom friend and we were looking for somewhere to unwind and relax while also being in a central location to Joshua tree + downtown Palm Springs. This place is truly a dream. Mornings were our favorite, the light on both patios are incredible. It was quiet, peaceful, very spread out with easy places to hang out together. It had everything we needed. I want to come here every year. If you like natural architecture, this is it.

Literally just trying to figure out how I can come back to stay at Jenn's place ASAP! I think this is probably the best airbnb I've ever stayed in - what an incredible house and location! The design is impeccable and well thought out in both function and form, the space itself is super clean. I love that there's a covered parking spot which really makes a difference when you have to drive somewhere in the middle of the day (not getting into a burning hot car!) I love that the house has temp control as the nights can get chilly. There are lots of small thoughtful amenities (plenty of towels, beach towels, blankets, dressing gowns and shampooo + conditioner!) that really made the stay feel extra luxurious and lovely. The house is secluded and quiet but a close enough drive to some great restaurants and coffee shops. I came for a solo birthday trip and just wish I could've stayed longer.

What is special place. This house truly reveals its details slowly and rewards quiet attention. Not one thing is out of place and each object and material is perfectly considered. Architecturally, the house is sound.. with great insulation. It was particularly windy when we stayed and we didn’t notice a thing. Intelligent heating and insulating systems. The interiors share a similar and restrained material palette. Everything feels zen and calm the moment you walk in. Jenn is very accommodating and super responsive. These people are real professionals and know how to create a perfect atmosphere for new parents in need of a vacation.

We had the most incredible stay at this Morongo Valley retreat. The house was absolutely spotless! You can tell so much care goes into maintaining it. Everything felt fresh, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The setting is beyond peaceful. Waking up to the desert views and mountains in the distance was such a reset. It’s the perfect place to unplug, relax, and truly enjoy the quiet beauty of the area. Our host was amazing responsive, kind, and made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. You can really feel the hospitality. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning views, privacy, and a beautifully kept home, I highly recommend staying here. We would 100% come back! Thank you!

This was the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed in. Much like the desert itself, the photos you see hardly do it justice. The space was very homey, intuitive and had beyond everything we needed. Jenn and team did a really thoughtful job making this place feel like home. The drive into Palm Springs and opposite way to Joshua Tree was the perfect distance for us as well.
